Pros

You get to teach yourself how to use HubSpot which is a great tool to know how to use. This experience taught me how to identify a sinking ship!

Cons

MICROMANAGEMENT Mangers make you track your time to every individual task/project and your computer is screenshotted every 10 minutes. They belittle your ideas, question your actions and the owner does not personally care about you!!!! An environment with no room for growth and no transparency DOUBLE STANDARDS They say there are work from home opportunities, but this is untrue and only refers to employees in management positions. Hours are set with little wiggle room unless agreed upon ahead of time. They can take long lunches whenever they please…where everyone else feels like they have to eat and work at the same time. They expect an hour long turnaround for outgoing emails to clients, when they can go all day without responding to you internally.

Pros

Working at Market Veep has been a genuinely positive experience overall. The biggest highlight is definitely the team. Everyone is supportive, collaborative, and willing to jump in to help when needed. There’s a clear effort to maintain a positive culture, even in a remote environment, and that shows in how people communicate and work together. Initiatives like a fun virtual spirit week also help keep everyone connected and bring some personality and energy to a distributed team. Flexibility is another strong point — there’s a real sense of trust in employees to manage their time and workload, which makes a big difference day-to-day. The variety of projects and clients is also a standout. You get exposure to different industries and marketing challenges, which keeps the work interesting and helps you grow professionally. There’s a good balance of autonomy as well — you’re given ownership over your work without feeling micromanaged.

Cons

One challenge is that much of the team operates in a different time zone (primarily EST), which can make scheduling and real-time collaboration a bit tricky if you’re based in PST. It’s manageable, but it does require some adjustment and flexibility in your schedule.

Pros

- Supportive team - help is there whenever you need it! - Fun culture - "happy hours" etc - but no pressure, only attend if you want. - Understanding - they know that life happens, that appointments need to be scheduled, that everyone works in their own way. - Challenging work - something I personally look for! - Templated work, yes, but flexible. If a client needs something custom, you work with management to make it happen. The team is always looking for ways to improve the working environment and is happy to take feedback into account. A really lovely working environment overall. And yes, you need to track time and projects, but that's to be expected.

Cons

Training was a little confusing and felt thrown into the deep end - but management has taken feedback into account and has already updated the training modules.
