Pros
This company paid above average wages for industry. They provided the odd BBQ and gave quarterly bonuses based off sales. The quarterly bonus and overtime is what made the wage higher than average. They have a good product line in John Deere. I also worked with good coworkers for the most part and the branch was busy. I also competed my apprenticeship there and it was paid for by the company.
Cons
But there is also alot wrong with this company. Including: No paid breaks, coffees are unpaid and so are lunches. Also in the parts department no one took breaks so your coworkers frowned upon you if you took yours so the company basically stole 30 minutes of overtime off your paycheck every day. After you got your 3 work shirts when hired you were expected to pay 50% of company branded shirts after that. I'm sorry but if you want me to represent your company with your logo please provide shirts free of charge. My manager outright refused to pay for basic PPE like work gloves and I was forced to pay for them. On call pay was an embarrassment. You get $150 for taking the phone for the week and $25 a call in which I believe in today's labour market is illegal. The benefits were 50% company paid but I'm sure they were about a $150 monthly deduction off your paycheck which is quite high in my opinion. These issues destroyed worker morale and because of these issues I cannot rate this company very highly. I also went through some personal issues and was promptly let go without any help. They only care about profits.
