Pros
Built in clientele. They supply you with everything; linens, lotion, towels. Massage tables are electric which is very useful especially because you don't use the same room every time. You still get paid if a client doesn't show up for appointment. They have to call and cancel. If a scheduling error occurs they do a nice job at compensating client.
Cons
Receptionists control your schedule and if you don't get along with someone in particular don't expect them to schedule any appointments for you. They also often book incorrectly. Things in this particular place are always broken or stolen, from lotion to headrests. The pay is so bad. That's why every Massage Envy is always hiring. The only reason some therapists are still there is because they have built up a great clientele and are always busy. To make great pay like that you must do 7 hours of massage a day at $15 per hour massage. It's very hard on your body. Sometimes they book you back-to-back-to-back deep tissue massage. The staff is very immature. Every time you go into the break room someone is talking about a client in a negative way or another co-worker. The couples massage room is so small and is by a loud trash compactor outside. It also gets very hot with four people in this small space. Especially when the bed warmers are on.
