Worst ever, seriously don't do it - Anonymous employee Materion Employee Review

Literally the worst job I ever had. They asked me to cover my own travel expenses (to be reimbursed ) , which were greater than the amount of my paycheck. Never mind my own bills. They suggested I get a personal credit card to cover expenses. Um, no. You are a corporation, you can afford to send me on the travel you require. The guy in my office who loved to tell sexist/ harrassing jokes was PROMOTED. WORST HR I have ever dealt with, allowing the toxic culture to flourish. They explained to me that it's ok to laugh off the inappropriate behavior from Co workers. To me, it isn't. The health insurance costs more if you are overweight, which they don't mention at interview. They bring in a company to weigh and measure employees, not privately, those deemed outside the perfect BMI pay more.
