Pros
Really great people to work with The managers you directly report to are great, they’ll work with you as an individual & find the best coaching style for you Good environment to learn entry level skills, build experience, grow & gain industry knowledge Flexible PTO
Cons
The role is incredibly easy to get burnt out in, especially with the level of micromanagement & baby sitting. Always being hounded about availability & phone metrics no matter your level of success. Constantly sending out messages about breaking new sales records when more than 1/3 of the sales team is struggling to make a decent commission check because leads are spread so thin & the base salary is incredibly uncompetitive. “Unlimited” PTO but if you take more than 2-3 days off in a month you’re at severe risk of not hitting the commission floor & getting no bonus check. High turnover rate amongst the sales floor. Asking for employee feedback, telling you how important it is and then doing nothing with the feedback they received. Even the “exit interview” is just a 1 page google form. Loyalty & effort to the company is not appreciated or reciprocated at all. In December of 2022 the CEO said there wouldn’t be any layoffs, 2 weeks into 2023 several employees were blindsided by layoffs. The exec team is incredibly out of touch with the sales staff & just how burnt out they are. There was a time when you were more than just a number to high level leaders but now they really only see you for your sales numbers. They sell you very hard on a culture and a brand that loses its charm quickly once you’re settled in to the role.
