Pros

Remote, they give you a laptop, and a sweatshirt and shirt when you start.

Cons

Fast paced start up with no clear direction. Just looking to add as many new vendors and new products asap. At this rate it’s not sustainable. Rather than improving current processes, their fix is to keep moving as fast as you possibly can in any which way you can. I was hired to improve processes for customer relations and once I was working there I became the person who picked up the pieces that the other people on my team did not have time to do rather than what I was hired to do. I have so much knowledge and experience and it was overshadowed by always trying to pickup the leftover pieces of my team. There is no work life balance at all. Period. They put you in meetings all day everyday and you do not have time to actually work until after hours. Some days I’m working until 7:30 or 8pm and slack messages are going off at 9:30 or 10pm, after a long day and already starting at 8am. The CEO & upper management has favorites in the company and if you’re not one of them, you’re never recognized or cared for. Very poor leadership with no clear direction. Every week we had our team meetings and the entire meeting was dedicated to work as fast and as much as you possibly can. The slack messages are a mess. There’s hundreds of group chats & messages, slack group channels. They add a new channel almost every week. Small ones, big ones. And all of them are going off at all hours of the day and even in the evenings. I would always try to frantically read all the unread messages after hours at like 8 or 9pm since I didn’t have time during the day. Some days even at 10 or 11pm. I was so excited about working here when I was hired. But after parting ways, I think of it as a blessing. This job causes anxiety to its fullest and no work life balance. And they do not appreciate how hard you work. If you make the slightest mistake, upper management is yelling at you over slack messages. I cannot tell you how many times my director yelled at me over slack messages for either not doing enough or making a small mistake. I used to love working remotely but this company made me hate it. I was hired for one thing and ended up being the rest of the team’s assistant to leftover work. They also shattered my self confidence and made me never feel appreciated after all I did for them. I truly have never seen a company so toxic and I’m happy to not work there anymore.

Pros

Direct impact with helping clients.

Cons

Disorganized, lacking direction, blame you for problems. Way too much workload and not enough hours in the day. Expect you to know everything and clean up the mess. Overworked and unappreciated. The CEO gets crazy at the end of the month and forces you to stay longer some days. 10-6 becomes 9-6. Management is messy and don’t know what they want. Quick to hire and fire. You never know what they’re thinking. No communication, management is spread thin and need to hire 2 managers: one for sales and CS. Clients get ignored because turnover is so high. If your day is stacked with meetings with clients and you can’t make that many phone calls, you get in trouble and told you need to pick up the pace. Also noticed there is no real diversity there. Plus as an employee, you don’t even get a discount on items! All work, no reward. Thank God I got an offer somewhere else.
