Pros

- Worked for McCauley Trailers for almost 10 years - Good working environment - work hard, play hard - Treated well and financially rewarded for my profession - Good opportunities for career progression - Rewarded financially well for the role - Takes on advice of what customers would buy and involves sales team - Approachable management

Cons

- Production levels need to increase to meet level of sales - A lot of travel with the sales role can interfere with family life - Company car instead of hire car when in England would be beneficial - Investment of CRM system would be recommended

Pros

>Good people work at this place. Has potential if under different ownership.

Cons

>Micromanagement - Employees voice recorded, Monitored on cameras. Owner sits over shoulder, makes employees write down what they are doing every 15 minutes. >Mistrust towards management, engineers & parts dept. >Led to mass walkout of senior management due to highly dubious business practices. >Managements views not taken into account. >Owner not diplomatic and uses vulgar language. >Family company means decisions taken around dinner table on sunday and management just get bullied. >More seniority reserved for famoily members only, nepotism is rife. >No training for new employees >No policies or procedures. >No emphasis on employees health and safety. >Heating not on in winter time or owner turns down low to save money. Cant work if cold. >Work over 45 hour weeks, no overtime paid. No half day fridays like some other local companies. >No quality control. Owner blames employees for warranty issues yet does nothing to implement PDA procedures.

Pros

You get to work on the odd cool project, but those are few and far between

Cons

Very high turnover of engineers, I heard from fellow staff there has been about 15 engineers through the place in 8 years and its always the same, keep an engineer for two years and then move them on. No job stability, a lack of respect towards the engineer profession.
