Talent is underpaid and constantly looking for the exits.
There is no advancement across Group companies except for sycophants... but none last more than 2 years before incompetence catches up with them.
On-call is "engaged to wait" and uncompensated for that time, despite legal requirements.
It's been like this for 35+ years across all McLane Group companies... so at least he's consistent.
