Pros
Great emt class from a very knowledgeable instructor. I felt I was set up for success in the class. Lots of overtime. Shifts are fairly easy depending on where you are stationed. Great choice for people who need to work part time.
Cons
In the middle of 2023 vacation policy changed. Some of us lost hours that we earned. Not much appreciation from bosses. If you are full time you may be put on the schedule without notice. They need to screen emts better. Poor employees are allowed to get away with just about everything while great employees are watched like hawks. It would also be a great idea if they got rid of 24 hour shifts like surrounding emergency ems and replaced with rotating 12 hour shifts to prevent sleeping at the wheel. Wheel chair drivers suffer without a livable wage ($12-13hr) .
