Pros
Media Genesis has, at any given time, a collection of some of the finest co-workers you could ever ask for. Dedicated, knowledgeable, and genuinely good people. In my department (Project Manager), we had many great talented skillful team members. To my understanding, only two are still there today. The same with the creative team - even those with difficult personalities were very skilled and made coming to work bearable. Unfortunately, it seems all but one or two of them have left as well. They also paid 100% of benefits after I came off of contract and became a full time employee.
Cons
There's no reason to paint false pictures or assign unfair blame here - there is only one real problem at Media Genesis. The pay and sick time was below industry standard, but people will deal with that if the overall environment is pleasant. That is not the case at MG. An employee at Media Genesis will at some, and often many, times be berated, spoken offensively to, have creativity stymied, receive constant and unending condescension, and be treated poorly at the hands of the companies upper management program (the "And-1" initiative).
