Pros

There were no pros to this job at all, and I don't say that easily.

Cons

The place doesn't pay well for a start, but that's not the bad part. Given the nature of the place and the vulnerable people that walk through the doors on a daily basis you would they'd be running a tight ship but absolutely not. I can't speak for other departments but the facilities department which over see's, the reception area, document services and general maintenance of the building is one big hot mess. No one has a clue what they are doing, training is minimal if any at all.

Pros

A lot of internal training/e-learning modules. Coaching/mentoring is available to all. Very supportive of temporary staff. Excellent work/pension benefits. A lot of extra projects are available to be involved in. Flexible working as well as WFH. Lots of networks if you want to be social. On the surface, a lot of work is being done to make it a supportive/harassment/bullying free zone. Internal MHFAs

Cons

Very tough interview processes. Tendency to ignore/condone overworking due to unrealistic expectations. Very hierarchical business model, making it hard to traverse and develop into other roles. Lack of open communication between internal teams.
