Pros
There are no 'pros' for interning with Mega Mega. Maybe by the end of your third week someone will remember your name or thank you, but probably not.
Cons
You learn absolutely nothing, deal with cockroaches and condescending fellow employees rudely "teaching" college graduates how to copy and paste. Really? Talk about zero management skills. You will see their postings all over Fashionista.com but no matter how badly you need an internship for college credit, do not intern here. You are given absolutely no direction and when you come up with a new idea you are immediately shut down. Clients come and go in the blink of an eye. Not a professional place of business. More often than not you will feel belittled and frustrated. Do not expect to make any type of connections while interning here. On Fashionista.com the opening sentence for the PR/Sales Internship states, "The day to day is very hands on and your enthusiasm will pay off with amazing experiences while working alongside the growing team." The only amazing experience to be had with Mega Mega is the water dispenser in the room. The posting also states that you will assist with meetings with buyers and help prepare for market week and trade shows. This is a huge stretch and nowhere close to the truth. You will literally assist by bringing the buyers a glass of water during the meeting and by making a PowerPoint presentation of available items for the market week and trade shows.
