Pros

The experience and exposure you'll get will benefit you compared to others who never worked in public. I had a great group of coworkers that wish nothing but the best for. A fair reimbursement for CPA study materials.

Cons

Lower than average pay. Feels like your constantly walking on eggshells trying to please some partners. Appears to be little growth after senior considering how many managers and supervisors are with the firm in the same positions for many years. The firm can be a bit pretentious and condescending but other firms in the area can be guilty of this as well.

I find the hours totally reasonable compared to what I hear my friends in other firms are expected to do, good work life balance, people are friendly and helpful, lots of opportunity to make your mark, offer lots of little extras - like a CPA exam study group where the firm pays for the meals

Cons

work can be quiet challenging - lots to learn. The large projects can be daunting as a new accountant
