Pros
-People: Amazing colleagues in all offices around the world. You can always get support from someone and they'll be happy to help. I had a great time in the office and travelling for business with the people I worked with and miss them now that I'm gone. -Learning Opportunities: you will pick up a lot of skills in the day to day job, but there are also opportunities to get certified project management training, six sigma training etc -Work-life balance: this is pretty great. I never had to take work home with me in the evenings/weekends. There's a hybrid way of working if this is your thing. -Career advancement: You can move within Melexis to a role that you feel aligns with your career goals. For example, if you start as a design engineer but want to try your hand as IP management or business development (as an example), this is all possible
Cons
-Very remote location: Unless you live in the Tessenderlo area, you'll need a car as public transport options are not good. This makes it a bit trickier to have a social life with colleagues outside of work. -Lack of D&I: Never really felt like there was much celebration of diversity within the company (LGBTQIA+, cultural/ethnic etc) -Language: if you don't speak Flemish, you might feel a bit isolated during lunch or other events.
