Pros

Closing days are themed, and can be fun if everyone hits quota. Your peers are usually great – the hiring process ensures you're surrounded by driven people. Benefits are honestly great. Health and dental plans are hard to beat.

Cons

Management. Ultimately, they're more concerned with themselves than the growth of their employees. No trust. We're adults, with lives outside of work. Sometimes you need to go to the dentist, need to run home to pick up a package, etc. Leaving work is often considered blasphemy. Clock watching runs rampant here. Bro sales culture is rampant. If you don't drink the coolaid, you'll be an outsider. Different learning styles and personalities are often overlooked if you're not suckling at the company teet. Training: here's some slide decks - learn what you can. Learning and development is almost nonexistent. Pay is pretty bad - especially considering what other companies in the area are paying. Work/Life balance is almost nonexistent. People are consistently expected to work over the weekends, 12 hour days, etc. All for the "greater good" of the company.

Thanks for your review. It's great to hear you enjoyed working with other talented and driven people. With regard to management, what you've described is not consistent with the culture and environment we strive for as a company. We are always looking to better develop and support our employees, including our management layer, and we put a lot of time and resources into training managers who can lead by example. That being said we're always looking to improve in these areas, so thank you for your feedback.

Pros

The product is cool and if properly onboarded customers will get value from it. Coworkers are fairly social If you are new to sales would be a good place to learn the basics

Cons

Probably the cheapest company I have ever worked for. Benefits are below standard, they changed the commission plan every year I was there so that you would make less money, and you are expected to share hotel rooms when you travel. Look up Meltwater on Reddit or LinkedIn. They are known for very aggressive sales tactics which you will be forced to implement on your customers. A culture of micromanagement that comes from the top down. Virtually no avenue for promotion unless you are willing to move or get lucky and someone leaves.
