Pros
Kick off is great. You learn a lot and have a chance to grow and be independent. You learn how to gain respect from the people you're selling to.
Cons
For a company that's been around for over a decade I would imagine they'd have more of their stuff together. There is no consistency within the company. Some offices treat their employees well, have office managers while others are left to fend for themselves. No one knows where to pass things off or what the procedures are. You are a work horse and work 10 hour days without getting paid all the hours you work. Breaks are discouraged as well as hour lunches. The culture of the company is to stay late and not be the first one to leave. If you are the first one to leave people look at you like you did something horribly wrong. It's an all or nothing sales job so if you are a few days away from the end of the month and haven't sold anything there is nothing motivating you to sell since you don't see a % of any sales you make yet you are pushed to sell as much as you can regardless of the fact that you don't get paid out on it. If your quota is 20k and you hit 19.9k you get absolutely nothing in commission. You don't get paid out on multi year deals and get paid commission on a quarterly basis. You are responsible for training and client services which takes away from your time selling.
