Pros
The ratio of pct to patients During my application they say minimum of 7, maximum of 8, but sometimes more than the maximum. I experienced having 15 patients. Worst the wing I have is heavy. Another one is when they float you. I have experienced to float at HVI. It was worst bcoz nurses will never help you, and the charge nurse. She gave me the phone where I received phone calls from the monitor. Every now and then. Did you feel my stress? Yes, girl...Nurses don't help at all on that department. They don't know TEAM WORK....and another one when they float me where I am not supposed to be floated. Another experience Being partner with "Lazy Nurse". Whose always on the phone 📱. This nurse never check the patients. This nurse just goes to the patients room when it's time for them to have their pills. All the time this nurse is just sitting with her phone all night long 🙄 even answering call light is difficult for her to do it. And they are RACIST NURSE too. Who told me at my back that "SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND ", and this nurse if the patient could turn or move even the patient is total, she would tell me to do the chg or bath by myself.
Cons
I consider working in Neuro IMU as a blessing. 7th floor have the greatest, non exemptional environment. Most of the nurses help except for some. Everybody loves Vanessa , the charge nurse. She is very nice lady. She would help you unconditionally. She always prepare everything her nurses need. She is always willing to help, so my job become easy bcoz of her.
