Pros

Mercy Surgical is an outstanding employer. I worked there on and off for several years while in college as a warehouse picker. They were very flexible with schedules and even let me work as I came home from school during breaks. Management is kind and the whole work atmosphere is friendly. People care about each other here, including both upper management and regular employees. Pay is generous for a part time job of this type.

Cons

Directions can be unclear. While the job responsibilities are mostly always the same, changes to policy can sometimes go by unnoticed. That being said, it is easy enough to just ask questions and get things cleared up.

Pros

- Ability to get direct healthcare experience - Culture promotes collaboration and unity - Management team is approachable and committed - Coworkers are incredibly friendly and resourceful - Ability to interact with various parts of business segments - I have never worked for a company that is so committed to the wellbeing of its employees. It was really sad to leave, because I knew, deep down, that I would never work for a company that was as committed to my success and prosperity.

Cons

- Very sad I had to return to school. Was such an enjoyable experience, I didn’t want to leave

Pros

Ten minute paid break about every two hours. You get six paid holidays off. Many places close to grab lunch quick. Police station is right around the corner.

Cons

As stated in the title, the company is no longer offering the extra $100.00 bonus every week. No one was warned. Many people had to take a huge pay loss. Constantly on your feet. Only allowed three sick days a year.
