Pros
The people. Everyone is like minded, goal oriented, and successful - it's an addicting aspect to be around. True friendships can blossom from this opportunity.
I've been with MSI for 2 years now and received two promotions. The amount of professional and personal growth I've achieved in such a short amount of time is incredible - evidently far more than my peers working other jobs. You're tasked with more responsibility and expectation than you think you can handle, but with a little time you find yourself actually asking for more.
Goals are ACHIEVED not just talked about. The financial freedom this job can reward you with is not a lie. I've obtained more in the last 6 months than I ever thought was possible and am STILL growing. You get in what you put out.
Promotions from within. Anyone in a management position started as a Recruiter. If you want something, you can achieve it and upper management will help you any way they can to help you get there.
Cons
This is industry is a challenge if you are not all in. In order to succeed in this industry and with this company you have to be willing to give 110% each and every day. It is metric driven - if you aren't hitting your metrics, the question is always why not? What more could you have done? Not succeeding is not an option.
The day does not end at 5:30 if you haven't produced - you have to be willing to do whatever it takes. It is a team environment - if you don't produce, the team doesn't produce and trust me, people take that personally when everyone's commission is on the line. This is not a job where you can just "get by".
