Pros

You get a truck that let you observe the city on the daily. You meet a lot of new people that could lead to a professional exchange.

Cons

The HR managers lie and tell you, you can only get hired at the base pay but they hire others at higher rates, so if you accept the low payrate you’re screwed because their promotion system leads to unsafe work practices on the worker or unfair treatment for the customer. The managers/Supervisors stop your pay raise at $50K-56K no matter the level of education you’re bringing in, whether you’re certified or hold a bachelor’s degree. You don’t get a pay raise even though you work in extreme weather environments and at night. You never get off work on time, if you do, they find a way to shame you or question you. You only get promoted if you’re willing to give up personal free time, show that you’re fun, likeable. The hiring managers are ex-convicts themselves and they prefer hiring other ex-convicts, family/friends or military members.

The growth in fiber and MDU connectivity creates real opportunity for career advancement and strong earning potential. It’s a great environment for motivated people who enjoy building something meaningful.

Cons

The role requires a high level of self-motivation and persistence, especially in developing new business opportunities and territories. The pace can be demanding at times, but it also creates opportunities for growth and impact.

Pros

The culture established at Metronet really resonates with me. Nearly every employee performs their jobs with an ownership mindset. The leadership team for our division does a remarkable job of establishing vision and setting the tone for the department. It is a very demanding environment, but it is also one that makes celebrating success a part of everyday business.

Cons

The only negatives I have encountered are outside of the company's direct responsibilities and are orientated toward the administrative bureaucracy of the municipalities that we have to coordinate work with,
