Static organization with little strategic direction - Director Mexic-Arte Museum Employee Review

my supervisor is literally the sweetest. everyone here is truly motivated to do good by the museum and the community and the executive director is one of the coolest people i have ever met. as an intern, i get treated with immense amounts of respect and i never have to work more than what is on my contract, and i often get treats! being an intern here is literally the best!

to my impression, it is understaffed. i feel as if full-time staff are given two roles into one. however- any and all nonprofits endure a bit of grunt work as this work is for the people, not profits.

small team, u get to know everyone at work - you get to work with kids with sooo much personality. if you are organized and love to teach this is great for you. pay is great

some schools we get sent to have roudy kids which can be difficult but its nobodys fault really, just keep learning to be a better teacher for them - its a part of the job. not a lot of hours sometimes so DONT depend on this as your sole job
