Pros

The campus and city in Sendai is stunning. The kids are wonderful to work with and curriculum is easy to use. Meysen helps with EVERYTHING transitioning to a new country. Management wanting feedback and growth.

Cons

Some teachers contracted to work 6 days a week. High expeditions (Japan culture thing not necessarily Meysen)

Pros

The school has wonderful summer events (trips, camps, activities, etc.) for the students. Many of the students in the HS , Kindergarten, and the EX programs are eager to learn English, and create strong bonds with their teachers. Classroom discipline is supported, and there is a zero bullying policy. The English Support Staff is exceptional, and will assist teachers with doctor visits, dental appointments, immigration paperwork, etc. The school provides teachers with furnished apartments and sets up utilities and internet.

Cons

The FC English program is very demanding, and most teachers choose to switch to another department after 2-3 years. Workdays are M-Sat, and it is better to think of the position as a "camp counselor" rather than a "teacher." For older teachers, or those with a teaching degree, it would be better to apply for the EX or Premier program, which has an easier work load, more lesson planning time, and more "serious" English students.
