Be aware! - Anonymous employee MiQ Employee Review

I'm appalled by the treatment of employees at MiQ and I think it's important that if you are here looking for an honest review you get to know the truth. During my time at MiQ I was shocked to see many of my colleagues get instant dismissal without a single prior warning, in one case a colleague was told that she was being dismissed as she simply 'didn't fit in with the team' despite being one of the most genuine, sociable and kind people in the office. Other reasons included a single absence, not fitting the 'culture' and 'poor performance' with no knowledge of unsatisfactory performance prior to dismissal . The majority of employees working for this company are between the ages of 21-30 and for many this is either their first or second job out of university or within the field, this can be a huge blow to somebody's self-belief and confidence. It's important that start-ups and young tech companies who take advantage of working rights in the UK and US are called out, this shouldn’t be silenced. Working at MiQ: I'm aware that people's experience of working for MiQ differs significantly between departments, however, during my time I witnessed poor and inexperienced management, work place bullying by those who made it clear that they felt a sense of superiority over their colleagues and misuse of senior management power. I left feeling bewildered by how a company can get away with the type of misconduct MiQ was getting away with, I was traumatised by my experience, afterwards I suffered from work place anxiety and it was hard to put it behind me. A lot of employees working here have been conditioned to believe that they are special, this is a clever marketing strategy that MiQ has developed with a 3 stage interview process, a set of company values, referring to the company as a 'family' and extra luxuries. This is a strategy that a lot of tech start-ups endorse and it's a way of controlling their employees and justifying working late and over weekends, please be aware of this.
