Metrics heavily rely on achievement of sales in regard to add-ons. i.e. securing ESET (antivirus customers have never heard of and are skeptical of with very little need for) multi-year signups, and multi-year protection plans (insurance; reasonable but still often extortionary in nature), over reliable customer satisfaction and repeat customers.
