Pros
The products you are actually selling do have a huge impact on the education sector and bring many benefits to primary/secondary schools and colleges etc. Working hours are good 8.30-4.30, particularly if you have children. Team incentives are fun, but not great for the entire team e.g. throwing darts at a voucher stuck on a dartboard - it seems to go to the same few people everytime that had better accuracy, defeating the point of the incentive in the first place...
Cons
There were a number of incidences where unfair, unjust and poor management was shown – to the point where I tried to raise a concern with Capita HR regarding office bullying but was told I might lose MY job if I did! Yes that's right, not the individual who made my life a living hell - me! I won't name and shame on Glassdoor, but there are members of that team (who are still there) that reduced me to tears and created levels of anxiety that made me feel nauseous on a daily basis. You can get in early every day, you can stay late every night, you can spend hours of your own spare time creating material that the company then uses and markets out to schools (and takes full credit for), yet none of that is actually noticed and more important issues like wellbeing of staff is just swept under the carpet. A (former) Team Leader would have favourite members of staff, literally doing the work for her most loyal servant and neglecting the rest of the team. This 'favourite' also happened to be the employee that made my life a living hell... No matter how many times you raise an issue, be prepared for a year's worth of backlash and abuse. Unless you have the biggest mouth, are the biggest gossip and spread rumours and lies around the entire office before anyone has a chance to form their own opinions then you might as well run away now... There is a bittersweet irony that you are dealing with the education sector at MLS, because being in that office is like being back in a Primary School playground!!!
