Pros
A start-up organization focuses on making impact to emergent market consumers through technology innovation. Great and unique culture with innovative products which is difficult to find in Taiwan. Doesn't consider experiences or major for hiring new employees but only selecting for characters and potentials. A flat and global organization - everyone has an opportunity to direct report to CEO, which seek growth of each Imagineer - the only title of their employees as core metric of success. Therefore, merit is cherished over tenure. Imagineers who works in different functions get to collaborate with each others as friends, ego doesn't exists in this place and everyone is eager to learn from each others for continuous growth. Started my career as a senior software developer in other company, I work for product team for almost 4 years, got opportunities to work for every domains in product development, from Engineering, UX design to business development. The company has given me so much resources to learn new skills and explore new domains which is a truly rewarding experiences and continuously looking forward to new challenges everyday.
Cons
It's a young company and employees are mostly not experienced due to its selection process so won't be as efficient in delivery. Since it's a start-up, sometimes won't necessary keep work-life balanced and has to make sacrifices when necessary. Still a pre-revenue company so not a place to seek long term stability.
