Pros
For the most part, there is job security. They are usually willing to work with employees on scheduling. They allow them to request off any days other than holidays, and for the most part, give the time off. They also accommodate employees who are in school.
Cons
The company has changed owners three times since I have worked there. This results in constant changes, that are not always good and disorganization. The servers basically read scripts and are subject to online and phone surveys from customers as well as weekly shoppers. If you miss one thing in the 'script,' according to any of these sources you are written up, possibly fired, or suspended.There is a lot of favoritism that goes on in my store in particular, especially between management and male employees. Management tends to be fairly unprofessional. There are always BOGO coupons out, which does not bring the best or most generous people in the door.
