Pros

Constantly changing their worksheets to upkeep with relevant teaching methods for Preschool Level

Cons

- Poor staff welfare. ROs are constantly texting for you to cover other tutor's classes. Even when you politely decline they will question me why I am unable to cover. To me I am a part time staff and my full time job holds a higher priority and therefore I do not see why they have to question why I cannot cover certain days and times. -The ROs WILL NOT hear out your side of the story when they receive feedback from parents. You will be immediately marked as wrong even if the mistake is minor (eg: not checking that a child has spelled his name correctly on the worksheet). Even when they investigate and find that you are not in the wrong they will still lecture you on what to do should you encounter the same issue next time. -Management are so afraid of parents feedback and automatically views them as complaints eventhough some feedback are non-constructive. A parent had complained to the staff that I made her child sit at the back and that her child couldn't see the board. Note that this parent had not brought up the issue to me or spoken to me about it at all. And I was reprimanded about this. The management treats us as slaves for the parents and expect us to cater to their every whim. -They hire you and assign you classes ONLY to tell you AFTER you agree to take up the class that you are the 4th/5th/6th teacher to teach the class and that parents cannot take it if you resign or quit. How can the management hold new staff accountable for the old staff's turnover rate?

Pros

Team environment, multiple centres across Singapore. Off day can be requested in advance and upon review by manager. Great for afternoon shift workers. Start from 1pm+

Cons

Centres are open everyday. 5 day work BUT with high possibility of working Double weekends (Sat + Sun) 8.30am to 6.30pm if understaffed. Schedule is randomly arranged by Managers, no compensation for being scheduled to assist other centres. Some centres are managed by only 1 full staff. AL is lower than industry and cannot be rolled over. Managers can be unappreciative towards staff but demanding.

Pros

Friendly and supportive teachers and staff who are always willing to help. Teaching materials are provided, which makes lesson preparation easier. Overall, it’s a positive and collaborative working environment where it’s enjoyable to teach.

Cons

Initially, some of the Math worksheets were quite thick, making it difficult to complete lessons on time. However, this has been improving over time. I was assigned to a few centres that are too far away from my house, hopefully I can be assigned to centres nearer to my house next year.
