Pros

None - run for the hills!

Cons

The company has a narcissistic way of doing things. Unfortunately they are stuck in a time warp thinking people in the USA will work for a Japanese company and adhere to the rules and regulations as Japanese folks do, which is work insane hours with no good pay, no socializing or talking to others. Toxic environment overall. They pride themselves in being part of a big Corporation but in reality, the company works as a total separate entity with no support from Headquarters whatsoever. The Management overall is old with no new ideas, stuck in managing people with fear which is never good for company morale. HR is a joke and just an extra muscle for management to get away with many injustices people go thru. Many good hard working people have passed by these doors and have left feeling unappreciated and used. No morality whatsoever. Would recommend anyone considering to not apply or even hope to consider in developing a future here.

Pros

Four weeks of vacation since your start date and early 3PM dismissal on Fridays all year round.

Cons

While PTO is generous initially, there is no ability to work remotely due to personal or weather related emergencies. The business is not doing well financially. As employees leave the company management tries to keep costs low by giving existing staff more work, with no change in compensation. It is also extremely difficult to get promoted unless that you are of Japanese ascendance. Whenever there is a VP opening, Mitsui brings someone from Japan to fill in the position. This was very discouraging, mostly for people were there10+ years and who had to constantly train Japanese executives to learn the business. I saw many other unfair things happening to employees but I will summarize by saying I don't think there's much time left in their Norwood location. Most of the good employees have already left.
