Thank you for submitting feedback and sharing your experience. Our pay rates are set in a collective bargaining agreement that is renegotiated with the union and voted on every three years. In the last three years we also renegotiated several additional mid-contract pay increases. We have placed much greater emphasis on having a significantly more positive relationship with our union in the recent past. We believe we have made a lot of progress on that front and look forward to continuing to do so.
The CBA allows us to assign one shift per week in addition to an employee's self-scheduled shifts. We take into account outside work responsibilities, such as family, childcare, school, etc., and often make exceptions to assigning an additional weekly shift to employees. The vast majority of full-time employees work between 36-48 hours per week. Employees are encouraged to reach out to scheduling and communicate their needs, so we can make adjustments and find a schedule that works for each particular employee.
