Getting paid with coolness? Only for the cool anyway. - Project Manager Moment Factory Employee Review

Pros

Incredible projects with hardworking people. You might find a bit of happiness there. But...

Cons

There’s a disturbing double standard in how people are treated. One executive once stated (on the record, thanks AI) that it’s difficult to discipline people—even in cases involving bullying or behavior that would raise red flags in a post-#MeToo context—because “talent brings visibility and recognition.” That alone is troubling. But what’s just as disheartening is that implies that if you’re not one of the “protected,” mistakes can bite you back hard. This dynamic creates an unhealthy environment where safety, fairness, and accountability are inconsistent, and where your values seems tied more to coolness than integrity.

Pros

There are talented and dedicated people there, and I genuinely enjoyed working with those I had the chance to collaborate with. The projects can be cool and occasionally impressive in scope and creativity.

Cons

Voted one of the “Coolest Montréal Companies”, this studio certainly looks the part, but beneath the surface, the reality is far less appealing. After working there, I can say with confidence that the hype doesn’t match the experience. Ask yourself: Do you want to work in an environment with the emotional maturity of a high school? Under leadership whose ego and arrogance outweigh their skill and experience? Within a culture that feels more like a clique, or worse, a cult, than a creative community? Yes, there are talented and dedicated people there, and I genuinely enjoyed working with those I had the chance to collaborate with. Yes, the projects can be cool, but they are overshadowed by constant infighting, fragile egos, and a pervasive atmosphere of politics over collaboration. It is the most toxic studio I’ve encountered in my career, and you deserve better.
