Brain-Wash Pyramid Scam - Manager In Trianing Momentum Marketing Group Employee Review

Pros

Total pyramid scheme! Few pros come to mind but it could be the gas mileage reimbursement... if attaining it wasn't so far away. The first day I was swamped by a room full of acronym spouting lemmings. They put all us in one, tightly cramped "board room" -- covered wall to wall in white boards. Like minions with markers for swords, they whisked together some jargon about leadership in an alphabet soup of b2b psychology.

Cons

Walked into a false advertisement of hourly compensation and savvy structure goals, precisely placed out-of-reach. No title is listed on the careers page (secretary even evaded answering my questioning of it on the phone). Managers are evasively referenced as the title offered to during the interview because the position is barely existent. No more than extended shadowing other shadow puppets who all call vendors like Sam's club to get the payable hours (pitch-promotion displays... flown solo like a circus tent act). Biggest con, they figure in a cut. Thanks for docking pay under a flag of LLC just for kicks.

Pros

I loved the people working there! Great people to be around and a lot of positive energy. Employees get a lot of negative feedback in the stores from customers about being annoying but ultimately it challenges your self worth and it has made me stronger as an individual.

Cons

They take advantage of their employees and make them work ridiculous hours for the smallest amount of pay. They want you in a ownership mentality and if you don't to reach your goals, then you have to stay after and you are not getting paid anymore. Well that doesn't really work for a hourly worker. On your days off, you go in and set up in the stores for the next rotation so you maybe get one day a week that you are truly off. The mindset of the hiring process is like throwing gum at a wall, they hire people that have Masters in Business all the way down to high school graduates who their only experience is working in retail. I felt like my worth of being a college educated person meant nothing because they would hire anyone. If they congratulate you on being selected in the "top 200" people, don't believe it. Completely false and they just want you to feel like this opportunity is amazing. You need to not question your ability to talk to people because the second you question yourself, your done. I loved the people that worked there but as a career, never doing this line of work again.
