Pros
Super diverse, open, fun atmosphere. I could be 100% myself from day one. Super cool parties going on always, easy to network with other monks across the globe. Colleagues are absolutely amazing and interesting - great team players. Best working atmosphere I have ever experienced. I felt appreciated for my work on a regular basis and even though I was on a entry-level admin role, senior management approached me several times to thank me for my work. I would definitely go back and be a monk again in the future.
Cons
Chaos everyday, all day. Organizational structuring like twice an year, so whenever I got used to the new structure, they would change it all again. Hard to make a career plan in such an unstable environment. Changes would occur not because they were neccessary, but because senior management is messy and makes decision based on gut feeling/mood. Systems and way of working was obsolete and not efficient. I needed to do a lot of data entry and dumb work that could easily be automated. Not a very data-driven company. Promotions and hiring approvals were made based on I-dont-know-what, so way too much money was spent on it recklessly, which often resulted in hiring freezes and lack of internal growth opportunity.
