Motive is not a place where women rise and can have a long lasting career. Women leave instead of lead at Motive. It’s a very known issue at Motive but there has been a complete lack of action from the Executive team to change the direction and set an example. - Here’s the breakdown of Women at a leadership level at Motive - Within the Executive Team. 2 out 8 direct reports to Shoaib(CEO) are women - Those 2 include the EA team lead and the Chief Legal Officer - Within the CTO Org, 1 out of 8 direct reports to the CTO are women - 1 female direct report is the head of QA - Within the CFO Org, 1 out of 8 managers whom report into the CFO are women - 1 female direct report is the head of FP&A - Within the CPO org, 1 out of 8 direct reports to the CPO are women - Within the Design Org, 2/7 direct reports are women - Within the PM Org, 0/6 PM Directors/Managers are women - Within the COO Org, 1 out of 8 direct reports to the COO are women - There is a subconscious bias towards women - Women are talked over and talked down to in meetings, not always seen as partners - Women are not recognized publicly for good work or achievements - Women are not seen as leaders or SMEs in their field. For example, when a lead gives a directive, their cross functional partner will often escalate to their boss for the final word - Women are not given the same opportunities to lead and grow their careers as men at Motive
