Pros

1. Moz is, for the most part, a values driven company. They walk the walk. I followed Moz online through their blog long before I joined the company. What surprised me the most after becoming an employee is how much nicer and emotionally intelligent everyone was in real life. Leadership cares deeply about fostering healthy communication. This means being able to have constructive "tough" conversations with anyone - even your manager. It is quite simply, one of the healthiest places I've ever worked. 2. The work is cool. Smart people doing smart things. Lots of opportunities for promotion from within. It's also cool when you travel to conferences. Marketing people all over the world are familiar with Moz. 3. Very diverse and tolerant workplace. 4. Benefits are extremely competitive. Generous vacation, home office stipend, maternity leave, paid-paid vacation (Google it if you don't know what this is), bus pass, gym sponsorship, 150% match on charitable donations, standing desks for everyone, free food and drink, dogs in the office everywhere, excellent health insurance, 401k, professional coaching, and a decent 401k. 5. Rand Fishkin and Sarah Bird

Cons

The company has experienced a few growing pains and made a few strategic business errors in 2012-2013 which upset some people, but everyone has done their best to learn from the experiences, and the company is on a positive growth track again. As Moz is 10 years old, stock options are limited. You work for wages instead of equity.

Pros

Strong company culture that values innovation, collaborative teams with smart colleagues, access to cutting-edge SEO tools, supportive leadership that encourages learning, and plenty of opportunities to work on impactful projects.

Cons

Processes can feel slow at times for decision-making, workload spikes during product launches, some departments operate in silos despite efforts at alignment, compensation could be more competitive for the industry, and remote work policies were occasionally inconsistent.

Pros

Strong autonomy, interesting projects, good relationships with coworkers, plenty of room to grow internally, learning opportunities, remote work friendly, high pay for my field when I worked there.

Cons

Overwork, very low respect from corporate, low transparency from corporate, repeated layoffs damaging morale, hollowing out of unique benefits made overall package less competitive, Ziff Davis slowly killing a once great company.
