Pros
Mundo Verde on paper looks a fantastic place to work. Lots of applicants consider this growing Charter school with a long wait list for students. It uses Responsive Classroom, it is doing Expeditionary Learning, it composts and recycles, is environmentally sustainable, it is a Spanish immersion school. It is in a new building with large windows, lots of light and nice architecture. It seems to have it all.
Cons
There is a high turnover of teachers. They have a growing discipline issue where students are openly defiant and refused to cooperate with teachers. The administration is increasingly dismissive of the issues and has not seemed to take it the issues seriously. The administration is very condescending towards teachers which makes it a very discouraging place to work.
