Close to home, supportive team/ supervisor excellent benefits, lots of opportunities for growth, advancement and professional development.
Cons
Micromanaged; expected to do more with less and less. Job training doesn’t exist. High turnover within the department and cases are left a mess. Newly assigned person has to fix everything. No accountability or over site in case transfers in and outside the program. Senior staff have a year or less experience and they are insecure about how to do the job. Since the workload is so high and we are understaffed they don’t have time to train the new people even if they did know what they are doing. Salaried at 40 hours, but workload requires 50 hours to keep up with paperwork and expectations. Does not promote a good work life balance. Morale is very low because we aren’t able to keep going at this pace.
