Pros
I came to work at MyBudget nearly 5 years ago. It was a huge career change for me, but I felt that the company values aligned with me. I had been a client in the past and knew how much the company cared about its clients, so when a job came about I was excited to apply. I started out as a Personal budgeting Specialist. This is a fast paced role that requires empathy, exceptional time management and some after hours work.
I was in that role for 2 years before I applied to be a part of the training team. Although I had no formal training as a training officer, the leader saw my potential and was keen to get me in the role and then upskill me with a certificate IV in training and assessment.
I have always felt supported by my leader, both personally and professionally. It is so great to work for a company that actually lives by their core values.
Cons
All roles at MyBudget take a lot of resilience and empathy. We are dealing with people and supporting them takes a strong quality of wanting to make a difference in people's lives. This job is not for people who just want to play small in life.
