Pros
The care coordination team was one of the reasons I resided at the company so long. They are extremely helpful and taught me basically everything I needed to know. That being said, the supervisors weren't able to help much in this part, so the coordinators would fill the gap. The birthday celebrations and company events were honestly the only things I looked forward to. I liked the ability to set my own schedule as well.
Cons
The retention rate is horrible. No care coordinator stays for more than a year, and if they have they just don't want to leave. Supervisors are not helpful but it also depends on who you have. The caseload is extremely overwhelming along with the field visits, and it makes the job very unfulfilling. Traveling from borough to borough without any overtime pay is absolutely ridiculous. They expect you to work after hours even though you are not getting paid. At the end of the month, coordinators scramble to get their work uploaded to meet productivity goals. However, they would not have to if they were given an ample amount of time and a lower caseload. The upper management is also not helpful and will talk about you behind your back. Salary is not worth working here, at all. You'd be better off working somewhere else.
