Pros
-Job security -Friendly work environment -no dress code or standards -some projects allow innovation and are great to work on -some good people fight the bureaucracy and actually get stuff done -Best place to work if you're lazy and and want to collect a dependable paycheck
Cons
-Performance is irrelevant to pay. Time in service is everything. -Higher performance = more work. Low performance = less work and expectations. Same pay either way. -Arrogant older employees who treat workers with < 20 years at Goddard like morons. -Extremely top heavy organization -Nepotism. Whole families work here and hires often aren't based on any real merit but who people know. -Watching the contractors constantly rip off the government is depressing. -Quality of recent hires is very poor due to job market and economy. -Location is almost as bad as it gets
