Pros
You start with a substantial increase on your previous salary. You are in an country with no tax on your income. Leave is generous, and you do get remote working - 24 days per year but limited to 2 days at a time. At the time of posting, accommodation, food and laundry are free, but they have recently installed a system monetising food, and there are rumours that food and accommodation will be charged for in the near future.
Cons
Limited or no options for promotion. Limited increases. Toxic Work Culture. Poor management. The NEOM campus is in the middle of nowhere. Since I have started, many HR benefits have been cut. Any travel for expats from outside of Europe involves 24 - 36 hours plus, which cuts into leave. Very poor flight connections out of the area. The company is now belt tightening which means cost cutting and fear of loss of jobs, and curring of benefits etc. Poor or no communication from top management. Culture of fear, recriminations for speaking out, despite so called confidential channels. They have nice values on paper, but they are not practised in a felt work culture.
