Pros
The company gets a good variety of projects across a pretty broad spectrum of subjects, resulting in a lot of interesting work. However, the biggest draw of working here is that the general company culture is highly engaged and communal; teams generally have good rapport, and overall the emphasis is on ensuring that all team members are supported as needed.
In my personal experience, senior management is willing to take risks on people who may not have all the skills and let them grow into a role, if they're a good fit for the company culture. I've found that management sees those who work here as whole people, with lives and passions that - when supported and encouraged - create smart, connected, compassionate collaborators.
Cons
- Leads and senior management tend get overloaded, and this can have a trickle-down effect on the wider teams, resulting in issues around resourcing, time management, and training/onboarding.
- There's been some growing pains as they've expanded in the last year, which have had resulted in resources (people and time) being stretched thin, but this seems to be leveling out now.
