Pros
There are a few diamonds in the rough here - salt of the earth, very intelligent, hard-working people. This used to be the majority, but unfortunately today, this is a very small percentage of the workers, and most of them are leaving or gone. If you work here, you will be given a lot of responsibility as soon as you walk through the door. Grab up the experience, put it on your resume, and then get out of there!
Cons
This place has turned into a bunch of people who aren't experts in their fields, don't know the industry or product, and are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Basically a bunch of mediocre employees trying to keep the once-great company afloat. My, how things have changed in just a few short years. Can't get any new products through the door, acquisitions are poorly thought through, and employees are coming to their senses and voluntarily leaving the company at a far, far greater rate than new employees are being brought in. The people that really made the company run are going, going,... gone. Years of experience and true industry expertise are walking out the door daily and being replaced by inexperienced, mediocre newbies. At this point, it seems like the managers will settle for a warm body filling a seat, because the greats are not allowing the wool to be pulled over their eyes and are saying NO to NIBCO. Upper management is rampant with cronyism. Bullying mentality. Fear mongering. Condescending management style from a few of the very top execs. Very similar qualities to what I imagine a prison might be like. Good old boys' mentality. For one, claims to be a family company, has minimal medical benefits and zero maternity leave. Next, claims to support and sponsor women, but there's only one woman at the top, and she is married to the CEO. Finally, instead of recognizing MVP's and treating them accordingly (hello, career advancement?), threatens them with lawsuits should they ever leave the company. Fear mongering to a tee.
