Pros
Benefits are mostly paid for by the organization, alternate work schedules, and the ability to work from home (sometimes).
Cons
Rampant favoritism where preferred employees are able to take advantage of the alternate work scheduling and remote work as well as obtaining promotions that they are unqualified for. Management has the ability to come and go as they please (they do not stay a full business day in the office). When management cannot meet their performance objectives, the blame falls on subordinates. Consistently reorganizing to eliminate employees who have voiced concerns about favoritism or do not fit into the management "clique." Does not listen to suggestions from employees. Unprofessional conduct by management where fraternization with subordinates and board members routinely occurs (private trips together and after hours during corporate events).
