Pros
I am working as an IT officer in a government organization, NTDC(National Transmission and Dispatch Company). Our work is based on the configuration of the Router, GSM Module, Ethernet Module, and RS 485 Module for energy meter data gathering from different stations across Pakistan, as the meters are located at each grid station, which in technical terms called a CDP(Common Delivery Point) point. So, the pros are that we learn teamwork and communication skills as we do troubleshooting with different people across Pakistan.
Cons
As discussed in pros that we are doing trouble shooting, but the work is very limited, in week based we do such type of activity as no such problems are coming in this Network devices, so most of the time I become frustrated due to lack of work. The other things, there is no such growth or may I say performance appreciation growth due to which, lack of motivation to work is happening day by day.
