Pros

Amazing colleagues, highly talented workforce, great benefits, family-friendly, ability to work remotely, delivers great training programs and products, and guided by an important mission that has world-wide impact. Will miss many colleagues.

Cons

NW3C is the epitome of the "The Good Old Boys Club." There is little to no career advancement opportunity unless you are part of this club. Favoritism is rampant. There are few raises, no promotions, excessive executive compensation packages, as well as a lack of overall diversity on all levels of the organization chart. When compared to the generous and progressive offerings of similar training competitors, NW3C executives have an extremely antiquated belief system of valuing and compensating employees' skill sets. It could prove to be to their detriment as they have not kept pace with their industry peers and have neglected to recognize these differences to address the needs of their employees. The Org Chart is exceedingly top-heavy, as is the management style. It is abundantly apparent that a select few are most valued and rewarded. There is little consideration of, respect for, or input from employees who are below middle management. The executives who make the major decisions are out of touch with what actually happens within the organization. It is easy to ascertain that there are those in high-ranking positions who are trying to advance their individual projects and do not prioritize the collective welfare of the organization as a whole. Communication within the organization as a whole and within the various departments is abysmal. It is widely known and is no exaggeration to say that a toxic personality can change the entire culture and landscape of a company. One toxic employee's presence in particular at NW3C, has impacted the involuntary or voluntary exodus of numerous employees, has significantly contributed to the overburden of internal resources, and directly led to the poor morale of many employees. Executive management simply does not care, turns a blind eye, chooses ignorance, and buries their head in the sand. If you want to feel undervalued, be poorly compensated, remain stuck in the same position for years, and find your opinion worthless--this is the place for you.

Pros

NW3C trains law enforcement, procedural, federal and international agencies on all things current in the white collar crime arena. Via live webinars, on-demand webinars, virtual classroom, and live in-person classes, NW3C has trained over 400,000 local, territorial, state and federal officers. Most trainings are free, so officers with tight budgets can still be educated on the latest trends in crime, the latest investigative techniques and tools they need to fight that crime, and how best to prosecute cases involving unique, hi-tech situations. NW3C is full of wonderful people to work with, and even though they're spread throughout the country, it is like a big family, pulling together and making good things happen.

Cons

NW3C a non-profit that is federally funded. This funding has been reduced and they were forced to lay-off 7 of us; last in, first out.
