Pros

Had recently joined as a Technology Lead 1. Despite some other reviews slamming food, I found the food to be nice. 2. Good employee engagement activities like Happiccino 3. Good learning opportunities - like free access to pluralsight

Cons

Now coming to the cons, I feel like there is a culture here to give harsh, negative and non-constructive feedback for the candidate to TAP when declining him/her for the internal project interviews. It's perfectly fine to turn down a candidate, however it's NOT fine to provide comments which can undermine and demotivate the employee. I have heard of similar experiences from other lateral joiners. My own experience was extremely distasteful. Found the internal interview process to be HIGHLY subjective. Had approached the reviewer in order to discuss the feedback and was taken aback by the indifferent / negative attitude. The reviewer flat out refused to have a conversation over call or face to face. Instead insisted to "talk" over chat. Had never heard of a technical discussion going anywhere over a chat but still I obliged - because I had pressing concerns about some of the comments. To be fair - yes I had not showcased the perfect solution. But what was delivered as a solution was far above the standard of comments which were given. As I expected, the reviewer was misguided in some of his own concepts on basis of which he had given the feedback and when he was confronted by the valid explanation for my solution, he stopped responding.

Pros

Very flexible and good for work/life balance. Insurance is fully paid for by the company and doesn’t come out of your check which is a pro.

Cons

For this position, your employment only goes as far as billable hours go. If they are running low on projects, they will give you a 2 weeks notice to look for a project within the company and HR claims they will help you, but in my experience they did not.
