Pros
- the retail staff are extremely fun to work with and i've gained many friends - flexible work hours - flexible with attire (although recently they decided to arrange for uniform tshirts to be made)
Cons
- overworked but underpaid - given manager title only so they dont have to pay you OT but shield it under the excuse of "helping you grow as a leader" - work hours are over the contractual hours as stated on MOM website - biased behavior that stunt the progression of staff that actually work very well - Part Timers are promoted from junior to senior depending on how well the office staff like you, not how long you've worked or how hard you work - Feedback from staff are often ignored or disregarded - Company has no clear vision or goal, making all their procedures extremely messy and troublesome - Company hires secret shoppers to keep an eye on staff and report back to office, company has also asked the staff of neighbouring tenants to do the same. - Office staff sometimes come to the store claiming to "help out" but are mostly just sitting at the counter or at the workshop space on their laptops, making no difference whatsoever - No proper foundation, company is over expanding on an unstable base - Say goodbye to your work/life balance once you join
