Really not a good place to work - Cerified Phlebotomist National Jewish Health Employee Review

Pros

The patients, some staff are great, not 24hour open hours so you have more typical shifts

Cons

Management, upper management, lack of management, poorly picked management, extreme turnover, no follow through in what they say or tell you, supervisor is too concerned with her phone to ever hear you and makes that blatantly obvious time and time again, supervisor routinely makes HIPAA violations, no actual care for patients, pay is lowest in the area-people go to get experience because they will hire anyone and then leave, they don’t take the insurance they offer us, high deductible and copay, low PTO days when you consider they include the 48 hours sick time the state requires companies to offer in the PTO time, EPIC is TERRIBLE and gives you very little accurate information about tube collection or handling (yet they blame us for not just knowing), labels print incorrectly, PA messes up and blames phlebs, sup plays favorites
