Pros

- Salary sacrificing - Good location - Interesting mission

Cons

A place where the indolent and inefficient are protected by the exec - some employees do very little work at all here. The recent round of redundancies gave exec managers an opportunity to 'cut the fat' but this was seen as rewarding people who had done a bad job. At the same time, the exec firmly opposes performance management, so nothing changes. And good people have now lost their jobs and non-performers sit idly, watching the spectacle. Funding cuts seemed inevitable: even a cursory analysis shows a serious mismatch between the number of people working at NPS and the output of the organisation.
